Vocational Visits

Rotarians, friends and family regularly join together to visit a business or workplace in the local community. These Vocational Visits are an excellent opportunity to share a common interest in worthwhile recreational activities, further our vocational development, make new friends, explore new opportunities for service, enhance the Rotary experience and have fun.

On 24 May 2021 we made a Vocational Visit to Vanderfield Toowoomba, 21 Carrington Road. It was a wonderful opportunity to hear from key members of staff and to explore both new and older pieces of John Deere farm machinery.

In September 2018 Rotary Club of Toowoomba Rotarians, partners and friends enjoyed a Vocational Visit to the Cobb & Co Museum. Members and guests were welcomed by Cobb & Co Manager after a shared dinner in the Museum restaurant.

In March and April 2015 Rotary Club of Toowoomba Rotarians and friends enjoyed Vocational Visits to Sleepless City Roasters and JW Joiners. Members and guests were escorted on a tour of the businesses by their owners followed by a shared dinner.

In mid 2013 members and friends enjoyed a Vocational Visit to Toowoomba’s Willows Lifestyle and Fitness Centre. Members and guests gathered for a bar-be-que dinner before a most informative talk on recent developments in health and fitness, followed by a tour of the complex.
