Catering Trailer

The Rotary Club of Toowoomba, with the help of a grant from Qld community gambling fund and donations and sponsorship from members and local businesses, has taken delivery of a new catering trailer.

The Club identified the need for flexibility to service the community and, after seeing a similar item at International Rotary Convention in Sydney, members and Enfab Trailer completed the project including a hot water system, refrigerated salad bar, barbecues, storage and independent power.

The trailer will be used at various functions such as White Ribbon Day, Ride the Range and other community events. It will mean the club no longer has to borrow or hire other catering trailers to meet their commitments.

Please contact the Club if you would like our trailer to cater at your upcoming event.

Our Club has a food safety plan for our van and catering. It is the responsibility of the Club's Effective Services Committee to write and keep the food safety plan up to date, which includes the appointment of a Food Safety Supervisor or Supervisors and training of all food handlers. It is the responsibility of the Food Safety Supervisor to implement the food safety plan and it is the responsibility all food handlers to be actively involved in the food safety plan by following the plan, being aware of food safety regulations and giving feedback.

All Club members who are food handlers are strongly encouraged to visit the Toowoomba Regional Council's New Food Business Approvals and Application web page and complete the free online course about food handling.

Our Club is shortly reviewing its food safety plan and would encourage any feedback.
