Ride the Range is a bicycle challenge that was launched by the Rotary Club of Toowoomba in 2011. In 2019 the Challenge was held on 30 March, starting at Picnic Point.

Ride the Range is an achievable challenge. It encourages cyclists state-wide and beyond of all levels to take on the challenge of riding one of Australia’s harshest ranges - The Great Divide!!

USQ Ride the Range 2013 was the third and final year the Rotary Club of Toowoomba held USQ as our Yellow Jersey Sponsor and therefore the naming of our signature event. We sincerely thank USQ for their three year involvement and their investment has been essential to the victory of the event. Over that period we raised approximately $100,000 for the community – both locally and internationally.

The 2013 event was successful on many levels. Two days before the event some major changes to the route had to be negotiated carefully within a very short timeframe. However, despite this, we had 267 registered riders who raised in excess of $30,000. Our major beneficiary of the event was St Vincent’s Hospital and they indicated that the funds would go towards much needed theatre renovations within the hospital.
