With the busy lifestyles that everyone leads these days, it is always a challenge to get people interested and to commit to community activities such as Rotary. However it is very important that we continue to grow our Club membership, not only to get new ideas and enthusiasm, but also to replace members that retire or leave the Club.

Our Club received the Membership Growth Award at the 2014 District Changeover function from 2013-2014 District Governor Stephen Lazarakis and his Board. The Membership Growth Award is awarded to the Club which, in the opinion of the District Governor, has achieved the highest membership growth or membership retention, reached specific membership thresholds, or attracted the most new members.

Our major activity for the year 2013-2014 was a Rotary Showcase Evening. With the help of members, a total of 35 potential new members were contacted.

During the year we inducted five new members. It was also decided that Dr. Patrick Murray should be given honorary membership in recognition of his huge contribution to our Club and Rotary generally. In particular, Patrick has played a huge role in the area of the Club's Youth Exchange Program as well as in setting up and nurturing the Mitsukaido short stay exchange and through his vocation Patrick has been of great assistance with Bowel Scan.
